My name is Anthony Graffigna. I'm a Data Engineer and Analyst with a background in Software Engineering and DevOps roles. I'm also a Musician, Audio Engineer, Graphic Designer, and all-around Creative, and have done freelance work in these areas. I enjoy the process of finding, cleaning, organizing, and analyzing complex datasets in order to extract and communicate concise and actionable conclusions. I have a wide variety of experience including backend development, automation pipeline administration, web development, system administration, and database administration, and I draw upon all of these experiences to guide my process when working with data. I prefer working with Python and JavaScript for the majority of my work, as it allows me to take advantage of their large and vibrant open source communities.

Every year, over 3 billion dollars are spent in the United States to lobby the government in an effort to influence legislation. This project utilized publicly available datasets from the Washington State Public Disclosures Commission and LegiScan to analyze trends in this spending over the past 10 years in Washington State.

Over the course of one week, I served as the scrum master for a mock sprint in which my teammates and I conducted analysis on the wind power market in the United States, utilizing the U.S. Wind Turbine Database published by the United States Geological Survey.

Utilizing data published by CitiBike, I constructed a PostgreSQL database containing records from over 200 million CitiBike rides taken since 2013 and used it to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on their service.

As a part of a team, I utilized datasets published by AirBnb to analyze the market for rental properties with easy access to ski resorts in Bozeman, Montana, and presented several candidate properties that met client stipulations.

I created scripts that analyze Slippi replay files for the game Super Smash Bros. Melee and calculates various statistics involving the type and number of Turnips pulled by the character Peach, an RNG dependant move with results that can significantly impact gameplay.
